recipients are in: Beauty Changes Lives x amika team up

As a salon-raised brand, it’s our purpose to give back to the stylist community and make a difference. A few months ago, we announced that we’re partnering up with Beauty Changes Lives to launch two scholarships (with 12 recipients total) that fund BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ aspiring stylists to attend cosmetology school. Those recipients have been chosen, and we can’t wait to introduce you.

what is Beauty Changes Lives?

Beauty Changes Lives is a nonprofit that supports beauty professionals throughout their career journey. According to their mission statement (which you can find on their website, here!) they “empower the next generation of beauty professionals through scholarships, mentorship, and advanced education.” Since 2013, the Beauty Changes Lives foundation has awarded over $3.1 million and over 700 scholarships to future beauty professionals.
